Becky+Mike’s Mohonk Preserve wedding was remarkable.
When they told me they were going to be getting ready in a mid-century dome shaped house that is able to rotate, I was really excited for that to be the backdrop for the preparation portion of the day. But what made it all the more exciting was that they were going to be getting ready together. They were able to spend the morning together and help one another get ready for the big day ahead of themselves. I can totally get behind eschewing tradition to spend more time with the one you’re going to marry on your wedding day.
The Mohonk Preserve simply makes sense for their wedding. It’s an area staple, which has incredible views of the Catskills, trails, all the nature you could want, while also having space for a wedding in the Slingerland Pavilion.
I can go on and on. The ceremony on top of a hill overlooking the Catskills, family and friends making pies for dessert, having a ton of pizza get delivered for the guests, lawn games, shooting portraits in an absolutely incredible sunset.
This was one for the history books.
