Hotel Lilien: Wedding Venue in Tannersville, NY

Hotel Lilien is a 22-room boutique hotel, cocktail bar and wedding venue in Tannersville, in the Catskill Mountains, a stone’s throw from Hunter Mountain. It is a historic hotel with a restored interior, with wood paneling, stained glass and a library, set among lawns and meadow with views of the surrounding mountains.
The Lodge is the wedding space. The venue describes it as a vast alpine-style event space with two-story windows, a bar, a mezzanine, a deck and a meadow for outdoor ceremonies. In person, the scale is the point: a high timber ceiling, a crystal chandelier, a brick fireplace and a wall of windows that fills the room with light.
The hotel itself covers everything around it. Their site lists a library for 15, a bar and lounge for 40 seated or 140 standing, a private dining room for 12, a side deck and porch for 50, a pool deck for 30 and a side lawn for 140. A wedding weekend can take over all 22 guest rooms, so the whole group can stay on the property. Third-party listings give a 140-guest maximum for ceremony and reception, so confirm the number you need with the venue.
The venue does not publish its catering or bar policy. Third-party listings describe a preferred vendor list and an in-house bar, so ask about both before you plan. At the wedding I photographed here, Fig & Pig did the food, and dinner was at long tables in the Lodge.
The Lodge is designed for celebrations in any season. The venue does not publish hours, a rain plan or rental rates. One third-party listing reports a rental fee of $10,000 to $22,500 depending on the day and time of year, a food and beverage minimum of $7,500 to $10,000, and a 23 percent administrative fee. Treat that as a planning anchor and ask the hotel for current numbers.
Details as published by the venue and third-party listings, October 2026. Confirm directly.
The day moves between two spaces, the Lodge and the hotel, so build in time for the walk. A first look in the wood-paneled game room, portraits on the lawn and in the meadow at golden hour, and a quiet moment in the lounge all fit within a few minutes of each other. If guests stay on the property, a bonfire the night before gets everyone together early, and the weekend feels like one long celebration instead of one day.
