Amanda & Joshua’s Normanside Country Club Wedding
Amanda and Josh’s wedding at Normanside Country Club was one of those days that just felt easy in all the best ways. The weather couldn’t have been better for fall, with warm light and incredible foliage all around the course. We had the perfect setup for portraits and their first look: private, quiet, and still close enough to keep the flow of the day relaxed.
Everything happened in one place, from getting ready through the last song, which made the whole day feel seamless. Their family and friends filled the room with energy, and Soul Session, led by Garland Nelson, kept the dance floor packed all night. It was one of those weddings where everyone had a great time simply being together.
How We Met
How We Met
At work… Amanda knew she had met someone special she just didn’t know how special. All jokes aside, we met at work and we were friends before anything else.
Our Engagement Story
We got engaged at Disney Springs, Amanda’s first time to Disney World. Our engagement would not have been complete without our daughter Shayna. After Amanda received a text from Shayna “my dad has a question for you.” Amanda was only able to get out “what do you have to ask me?” And through happy tears Amanda said “yes”. Though Josh was unable to get down in one knee because of three days of walking at Disney.
Marriage to us means…
Josh said “being able to annoy Amanda everyday”

How did you choose your venue?
The people were amazing and it felt like we belonged there. It was beautiful backdrop.
A memorable moment from our wedding was…
Standing at the arbor stating our vows and them being very similar (“dems the rules”). The first look before the first look and then the true first look. The bouquet dedication. Josh dancing with his daughter.
If I could give other couples to be one piece of advice…
Elope! All joking aside there are things you can’t change so when the day comes just roll with the punches. It’s about the two of you and the people who matter most to you.
