Nicole & Chris’ Summer Audrey’s Farmhouse Wedding
After what has been an eternity of weekends filled with rain, the sun finally came out for Nicole and Chris’ wedding at Audrey’s Farmhouse. It was hot, it was bright, and it could not have been a better day to celebrate.
Getting ready in their separate spaces, both spaces had good energy from the start. Laughs, music, a little bit of nerves, but mostly excitement. Everything moved so smoothly. From the moment guests arrived, the whole day had a relaxed and joyful pace. Family and friends were fully present, which made documenting the day feel effortless in the best way.
It was one of those days that felt like it flew by, in the best possible way. So happy to have been there to witness and document all the love.
How We Met
Our story goes back to first grade! Chris had moved back to NJ from North Carolina and we were placed in the same homeroom. We had a small class, so knew each other growing up, but didn’t become best friends until freshman year of high school where we had every class together. From there, we were in musicals together and hung out all the time. We ended up going to prom together and then both went to Marist where our love story started (or continued)!
Our Engagement Story
Chris and I have traveled a lot together, so it was fitting that he proposed on our trip to Vancouver. We always try and go to a botanical garden while away, so it was extra special that he popped the question at the Queen Elizabeth Gardens.
Marriage to us means…
Continuing our commitment to each other. We’ve been together for 11 years already and want to build on that foundation of friendship, love, and trust. Caring for each other and for the people most special to us. Celebrating the big things and the small things.
How did you choose your venue?
As I mentioned, we love to go to a botanical garden while we travel. We wanted the venue to reflect us a couple. We wanted the wedding weekend to feel like a long backyard party we would have with friends and family at home. Being able to have everyone stay close by made it even more special.
A memorable moment from our wedding was…
There are too many count for the best day ever! My uncle snapping Polaroid photos all night, our first dance, everybody in pink boas, our first look, and our vows!
If I could give other couples to be one piece of advice…
Take a second to pause and look around. All of your favorite people are there to celebrate you. It’s unlikely that room will ever happen again, so soak it in and carry that love with you into your marriage!
Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this day so perfect.
