Christine & Austin's The Briarcliff Manor Wedding

Christine & Austin’s wedding at The Briarcliff Manor was spectacular. The classic building combined with beautiful views of the Hudson River made The Briarcliff Manor a perfect backdrop for a perfect day.

From the moment they arrived, you could feel the love showering these these two from their family and friends. A gorgeous ceremony was followed by snacks and drinks in the courtyard. The rain held off just long enough to help escort guests into the reception for dinner and a packed dance floor until the very end.

How We Met

We met on Tinder in Summer 2017 and messaged back and forth for a month before Christine eventually agreed to meet in person. On our first date, we did tequila shots and ate dollar slices of pizza in a West Village park while people watching. It was the first of many nights with tequila, pizza, and gossiping. The next date was two days later, and the rest is history.

Our Engagement Story

We always do something fun for our birthdays since they’re so close to each other. In 2022, we decided to do a getaway to Hudson, New York. As Christine was looking for the nearest waterfall hikes, Austin was researching jewelers in NYC and planning a waterfall proposal. During the hike, Austin pulled out the ring, and before he could finish saying “will you be-” Christine said “YES!”

Marriage to us means…

A commitment to be lifelong partners, friends, advocates, and cheerleaders – a commitment that is not only made on the wedding day, but every day thereafter.

How did you choose your venue/location?

We looked for places that were easy to get to by both car and train to accommodate our NYC guests. We really wanted something that felt elegant and intimate – and wanted a venue that would give us some space to make the event feel like our own.

A memorable moment from our wedding was…

Our first look. It was special to share that moment with just each other (and Andrew, of course). On such a big day, we were glad to start spending it together, and the first look took a lot of pressure off for the rest of the event.
