Jasmine & Rohan’s Full Moon Resort Wedding

How We Met

Rohan swiped right on a photo of me reading a James Baldwin book, which led to a long walk around Brooklyn. Our second date was a marathon, over eight hours long, and left each of us thinking, “This could be it.”

Our Engagement Story

Rohan hid my mom’s engagement ring in his suitcase while we roadtripped through Albania. A brutal flu almost prevented us from hiking the Albanian Alps, but we pushed through. At the peak, Rohan asked to question every girl longs to hear: “Do you want to get engaged here?”

Marriage to us means…

Commitment to growth and change.

How did you choose Full Moon Resort?

We wanted a venue that focused on nature and felt like an escape, transporting our guests to somewhere special and yet nostalgic. When I saw that Full Moon Resort was just over the mountain from the YMCA camp where I enjoyed many summers and family weekends, I knew that this was where we should get married.

A memorable moment from our wedding was…

Being lifted on the chairs during the horah! Seeing nearly 200 guests on the dance floor, many who’d traveled across the world to be there, filled us with love and gratitude.

If I could give other couples to be one piece of advice…

Soon after your wedding day, compare five standout memories from each of the five senses: sight, smell, taste, sound, and touch. Paying attention to the five senses on our wedding day helped us stay present and carefully notice the small details of every moment, creating textured memories to look back on.
