Shannon & Steven’s Windham Manor Wedding

Shannon and Steven got one of those rare November days that feels like a gift. It was just warm enough to be outside without rushing, and every so often the sun broke through the clouds and lit up the woods in that perfect late-fall way.

For sunset, we walked past the pond to the wildflowers and tall grasses. Even though everything had faded for the season, the textures and colors were still beautiful. The light was low as we arrived, giving Shannon and Steven a run of warm, easy portraits that wrapped up just before the ceremony. Getting all of their portraits done early turned out to be the best decision. Once the ceremony started, all they had to do was enjoy their day.

Once the sun dropped and the ceremony and reception began, the atmosphere shifted into this cozy Catskills cabin feel. The warm interior, the wood, the amber light, and the early darkness made everything feel intimate, like settling into a ski lodge with all your favorite people.

Because the day was relaxed and ‘to-dos’ were finished with time to spare, everything progressed easily and smoothly. Windham Manor’s layout helped everything move along, and Shannon and Steven were able to be fully present for every moment.
