How We Met
Bumble – she sent a gif about tequila and then it was on – went on our first date later that week and have been inseparable ever since. 🙂
Our Engagement Story
On and off rain, sort of gloomy weather but beautiful nonetheless. Went for a happy hour of oysters and martinis, and then walked to the end of the pier at Transmitter Park in Greenpoint. Devin didn’t say “will you marry me” – he said, “are you ready?”. We were almost all alone until a man on a bike came to smoke a joint and listen to some music. He was the witness.
Marriage to us means…
Nothing really changes in our dynamic, but there is something special about declaring and celebrating your love with the people in your life.
How did you choose your venue/location?
We love exploring New York and wanted an outdoorsy wedding. Blooming Hill was the first venue we saw and we really liked the vibe! We visited a few other venues and nothing felt as closely “us” as Blooming Hill did. So we locked it down.
A memorable moment from our wedding was…
Not gonna forget that heat!!! And the fireflies all over the back field as the sun went down.
If I could give other couples to be one piece of advice…
And make sure you pack an ID… we almost couldn’t check into the hotel after!!
