Molly & Christian's Meadow Ridge on Hudson Wedding

Molly and Christian got married at Meadow Ridge on Hudson on the last Saturday in September, with a nor’easter working up the coast all week. Somehow, the weather kept letting up long enough for us to pop outside for photos here and there. Both of them were happy to grab an umbrella and go, and it barely rained on them while they were out there.

The first look happened outside with a great view behind them, and during cocktail hour we were whisked away to the back field for the meadow with a view of the Catskills. The rest of the day ran through the barn and the patio.

Angela from Christofora Events kept the whole day running the way it was planned, and the food from Lola’s was genuinely good. The Cool Rulers played all night and never let the dance floor empty out. The last dance was “Love Story”, and their friends circled up around Molly and Christian and sang it with them. What an adorable way to end the night.

What comes through in the photos is how glad Molly and Christian were to have everybody there with them. You could feel it in the room all evening. The weather is the one part of a wedding that nobody gets to control. Couples who decide ahead of time not to mind it are the ones whose photos are better for it.
